A pack of 4 Compatible Brita Maxtra, Maxtra + Water Filter Cartridges that fit all Brita Maxtra, Maxtra + filter jugs as well as being fully compatible with Laica Bi-Flux and Bosch Tassimo.

The purpose of water filter cartridges is to clean and sanitise drinking water. These filters operate by slowly passing water through an activated carbon chamber and this activated carbon captures tiny organisms and potentially harmful contaminates that can inhabit drinking water.

Containing ion exchange resins, these replacement filters reduce the carbonate hardness (limescale) and reduce metals, such as copper and aluminium. They also remove substances that may impair taste, such as chlorine and chlorine compounds (where present).

If you have purchased a new water filter jug, you will eventually have to change its filter cartridge to maintain top functionality. Filters become worn over time and the particles that are filtered out become trapped by the cartridge. After a while, the filter becomes less effective and needs to be replaced. The cartridges use the unique 'H-Flow' system that gives a fast reliable flow resulting in reduced waiting time.
